so, let's not panic, the situation SUCKS but it is a restoration of the previous law (yes, we already had this in place, it sucks) moving forward, you gotta assume pretty much every platform that is not explicitly and publicly providing end to end encryption to chats will scan through your messages as it did for 4 years up until not too long ago i will try to get some info on what can be done as citizens to push back since there are some tools and we are not completely powerless for now, as you always should have been doing, keep all of your sensitive data and just private communications on encrypted channels i will be probably making a video on this stuff soon especially considering the more insidious and fucked up chatcontrol 2.0 (the one where they wanted a backdoor for e2e) might be coming and i'd rather everyone be prepared for that with a huge middle finger and a fuck you to the EU commission in case it passes
